DIY home studio part 2
So, after a long time I went back to our family’s lodge in the mountains. I waited for the night to set, so I could set the lighting myself. For a while now I saw theese “bar” type of pictures and I wanted to try it. Since we have a bar right into the living room, I grabbed this bottle and started setting it up. Besides the ambient light, I used a torch light to illuminate the cards and make them pop out.
Now, here’s the thing. I did have 2 pictures left. The first one is a bit better I think, but in the second one the accent is put more on the bottle. The thing is that there are some details I don’t really like in the second shot.
As a conclusion, which one do you like more? Thanks again for all the help!
A bit wider this time
Basicaly, what the title means is that I decided to shoot some pictures with my wide kit lens again, the 18-55. Since I really don-t like the colors of it, I decided to shoot B&W only. That way, I coukd still get the color image at the end on my PC by shooting RAW, but I could get a black and white preview while “chimping”. I liked the experience because, sometimes, different is better. It was good to capture some pictures that I couldn’t have got without the wider focal lengths.

Hard work
So the title of the post was given by the first picture you’re going to see. This time I will explain a bit how I did the pictures. I only used my Tamron 55-200mm for this time…
First night time street photography experience
Yes, as it says in the title, this was my first street photography experience at night. I shot with both lenses, my kit and the Tamron 55-200, because there was a large really well lit boulevard so I could obtain good enough shutter speeds.
I only have two pictures selected, as I tried to choose my better ones.
Tammy testing
Well, my Tamron lens is here! So basicly it’s been on my camera 95% of the time since I got it, and I must say I love it.
Theese are some shots from the first day of testing, just an hour long walk. Not going into too many details, here are the pics:
The wait
My Tamron lens is here! I’m so glad… I actually went out and took a couple shots with it which I’m going to upload soon. I love it!
Passing to the actual post, here are the pictures I took the last day. I think my inspiration level was acceptable, and I was able to get some keepers.
